Love Island’s Amy Hart hits back after Amber Gill lands Loose Women job
Love Island star Amy Hart has spoken out after this year’s winner Amber Gill landed a job on Loose Women.
Amy, 26, was invited to be a guest panellist following her appeared on the ITV show after she dramatically quit the Love Island villa.
Since winning the series. Amber and her boyfriend Greg O’Shea have made their Loose Women debut, and now Amber has been invited back for a guest appearance.
Amy is reportedly still waiting to hear back from show bosses but ITV insiders believe Amber could secure a more permanent role if she is a hit with viewers.
But the former islander insists there is ‘no beef’ between the pair, and she is looking forward to ‘exciting’ TV work in the future.
During an Instagram Q & A, she was asked to speak about their ‘beef’.
Amy said: ‘There is no beef. Amber’s a vegetarian darling.’
She then added: ‘I can’t tell you what TV I’ve got lined-up because I’m not allowed to but crazy exciting.’
A source told The Mirror that Loose Women bosses can’t wait for Amber to get started.
They said: ‘She is opinionated, outspoken and sassy – all the ingredients to be a perfect Loose Woman. Bosses are excited to see how it goes.’
Amber said of the daytime TV show: ‘Trust me, I’ll be giving my opinions on everything from cosmetic surgery to open relationships and blended families.’
The insider added: ‘Her appearance was a real hit and viewers loved her. So it’s well worth giving her a shot at asking the questions.
‘If she’s a success, a regular slot on the panel in the future could be on the cards.’
Amber isn’t the only star to land a cushty gig on ITV after the villa as Maura Higgins has become part of the This Morning family.
The Irish islander dished out some tough love to viewers about relationships during a phone in earlier this month. She will also front a series called Maura Than Meets The Eye.
Another Love Island favourite, Ovie Soko, recently became a guest chef on the show and whipped up a simple brunch of scrambled eggs and avocado.
