Is TUI part of Thomas Cook and will holidays be affected by the collapse?
TUI is ‘preparing measures’ to support its customers affected by the recent collapse of TC.
Thomas Cook left 150,000 British tourists stranded abroad after it cancelled all its bookings, flights and holidays.
TUI said: ‘We are sorry to learn that the UK tour operator and airline Thomas Cook has collapsed.
We really feel for everyone affected by this announcement including customers on holiday, anyone due to travel with them and of course also their employees.’
Is TUI a part of Thomas Cook?
No TUI is not a part of Thomas Cook and both are separate companies.
TUI is preparing measures to support. If TUI customers are booked on #ThomasCook Airlines flights and those should not be flying anymore, replacement flights will be offered.

However a handful of its holiday packages do feature Thomas Cook flights. It also sells a small number of Thomas Cook holidays in its stores.
Will TUI holidays be affected by the collapse of Thomas Cook?
TUI customers may be affected by the collapse if their holiday included flights operated by TC.
TUI said: ‘As a result of this announcement, we’ve unfortunately had to cancel any TUI and First Choice bookings featuring TC flights for any customers due to travel from Monday 23rd September until 31st October 2019.
‘The advice is not to travel to the airport. We will be organising full holiday refunds for these customers and will process these as quickly as possible.’
It advised customers due to return home on a Thomas Cook flight ‘continue to enjoy their holidays’ and members of the team will be in touch regarding new travel plans.
